Regaining Control
“Don’t be afraid to give your best
to what seemingly are small jobs.
Every time you conquer one
it makes you that much stronger.
If you do the little jobs well,
the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.”
- Dale Carnegie

It’s amazing how getting one aspect of your life under
control makes you think of other areas that are out of control. As you get a handle on your weight, you will probably
find there are other areas in your life that may need work also. You have to realize where you are now and how
you are doing in areas such as family, career, and finances and ask yourself if
you are happy with the way things are going.
It’s possible in many cases your answer will be no.
Did you know that some of the same strategies applied to
weight-loss can be applied to achieve goals in other areas of your life? For example, when you started losing weight
you decided to finish what you started.
If you plan to spend an hour on the treadmill, then stay there for an
hour, no matter what. When setting goals
there will be ups and downs, but push yourself to new levels.
Procrastination is the biggest enemy we have in weight-loss
and every area of our lives. It will
cause us to make bad choices about our health, business, job, and other
decisions in our lives. If we set
mini-goals and achieve them, we can stop procrastinating and start
accomplishing.
Losing weight is about a whole lot more than just
weight. There is a whole new world
waiting for you. A new world in your
career, your family, your friends, even your community. Getting good at the little things will help
you tackle the bigger things. Before you
know it, you have a whole new life.
Mini-Challenge of the Day
What are some of the areas in your life that need extra
attention? Work? Finances?
Relationships? Write down a list
of things you would like to improve. Don’t
try fix everything today. As long as you
have written them down, you are aware of them.
You can tackle them one at a time when you are ready.
Tip of the Day
Are you sleeping enough?
Most experts say that getting seven to eight hours a night is vital to
your health and well-being. I know
losing weight is tough, so you need this recovery time more than ever. Sleep is where your body and your mind
recharge. Make sure you’re getting
plenty of zzzzzz’s.
Until tomorrow, be blessed!
Remember to DREAM!
